"On mine arm shall they trust." Isaiah 51:5 (cont.)

"Now is the time for feats of faith and valiant exploits. Be strong and very courageous, and the Lord thy God shall certainly, as surely as He built the heavens and the earth, glorify Himself in thy weakness, and magnify his might in the midst of thy distress."

I was speaking to all the children, but read this specifically for Pierce at this time in his life going through daily/nightly itching for over three years now. And now about 1 1/2 years of daily/nightly stomach pains and headaches and bodily aches. I was able to tell him as he struggles with not just the pain but with all the hardship that goes along with it, that we honor Christ the most and bring Him glory by being good sufferers. We don't honor Christ when we grumble and complain about His perfect loving providence tailor made for each of His children.

I was telling Mom the other day, all choked up, that even though Pierce is going through such a hard time, he came up to me and said, "Mom, even thought I'm itching and have this stomach problem, I wish your rash and everybody else's pain would go away first." This brings such tears of joy to my heart.......knowing the daily struggle he has with this, physically but also emotionally, but seeing God strengthening and teaching my son to think of others and to rely upon Him and Him alone. May God be praised!!!!!
