Baby Takes First Steps- The Daily Dubitz

While others, this time of year, are dashing to the academic finish line, we turn now to another strange phenomenon occurring simultaneously. Feats of developemental advancements are making great strides in the Dubitz household. Mitchum, 13 months on the 26th, is holding his head high, flexing his newly acquired achievement with an advantageous exuberence. Let's see how others feel about this manifested, marked milestone.............. In my opinion, it's a huge "step forward".:P

"Walk this Way"

Yes, our "Meetchum-boy" as Kennedy calls him, is taking his first steps. But when I say first steps.......it's amazing how fast it went from first few steps to many steps. "All in a good days work"..........says Mitch.:P Once he got a hold of taking steps he just keeps at it. He LOVES the praise he gets from it, no doubt! Wouldn't surprise us if he's gonna be running real soon, too.
Anyways........for the fam.:D LOVE YA!

Too Funny

Long sigh........I love my Mitchum-boy.

Strawberry Milk, Anyone????

As a child I LOVED Strawberry Quik (not that we were able to purchase it often). I LOVED chocolate milk, too, but sometimes I wanted a lighter tasting something ( not realizing why at the time). So strawberry milk was just the thing.

I now, with my children, LOVE making things for them that I liked but healthier. We also LOVE to make the Sabbath Day ( Sunday) a delight in every way. So this last Lord's Day we had one of those plastic clam shells filled with BIG, JUICY, RED strawberries ( you know what I'm talking about. (wink))..........anxiously waiting to be experimented with.......So in they went into the blender (although we made this in batches). Spinning whole strawberries; when complete, a ruddy wine. In went two pinches of brown sugar ( b/c I can't stand for something NOT to taste good, even if I've never made it before), and before long.......a stream of cream ( milk) followed by a stream of soy milk. Although we can't do the cream too much ( for numerous reasons) it just added another creamy depth (even though soy milk is very creamy and thick, especially when blended. It froths up nicely). Strain and pour into a very BIG cup!!!! Try not to use the excuse when driking,"I'm just making sure it's gonna taste good enough for you."

I'm sure you could add some vanilla, but I wanted to taste the pureness of strawberries and cream.

As well, I'm sure this is nothing new, just a thinned out, strained out version of a shake, but I do like the change in texture of this strawberry milk.

I just saw a recipe for strawberry milk by making a syrup out of fresh strawberries and then adding it to milk. I'm sure I'll try that, too, but I kind of like to keep my strawberries raw.

FYI: Strawberries contain more vita. C than oranges!!!:D

Anyways...........That's what we made for Sunday breakfast..........and now........TODAY!!! hehehe

Happy drinking.:(D <- milk mustache
