Friday Night.........Game Night

So we did a game night last night. We had come up with this "new" game the other day, before catechism and reading, where one of the kids holds the toy basket and you throw the softer toys ("I said softer, Warren!!" :D ) into the basket. Of course we had to have music......Tis all the better you know. It was quite fun! We then moved on (except for the cam. b/c the battery died) to see who can hit the ball in the air the most times with their hand ( or other body parts for that matter ). Then next to last game (which we didn't know at the time was the next to last game b/c we thought we had sooooo much energy just to play aaaaaaall night......) was Chinese Checkers ( I'm so glad stars have that many arms!). I knew it would get all congested in the middle once everyone got out of the main arm which I thought would make it the more fun.......well, things started to go downhill and between turns.........more and more yawns were a'happenin'. Due to the late hour, the low point of a small sugar rush, being worn out from "dancing", and just being bored by the longevity of the game the tail end of game night was less than exciting. hehehe But the kids did learn a little lesson in persevering, persevering til the game was over, start what you finish. I do think tonight it "will be continued" b/c as Julia had said, "we didn't even get to have our pop and chips." ( not to worry, I didn't deprive them of "goodies"). We made granola, and pudding ( for those who can have rice milk it was rice milk pudding and there was a soy milk pudding, too). Then we had some nice canned fruit and put it together and wha' do you got piffity-parfity-parfait ( notice to readers: no magic was used near, during, buy, or in the making of the parfaits. Although maybe a tinsy winsy bit of "mom magic" happened while in the process of making the granola when mom threw in a dash( or two.......or three) of ground flax seeds b/c no one noticed. Bwaaahahahaha!
(Didja notice........Murray snuck a few shots in, too :P He did have a headache when all that was going on. Amazing, huh? )
